The 3GB GTX 1060 was consistently 14% slower than the 6GB model in Death Stranding at 1080p, which is a larger margin than you'd expect to see, so perhaps there's some memory limitations creeping
The EVGA GeForce GTX 960 delivers incredible performance, power efficiency, and gaming technologies that only NVIDIA Maxwell technology can offer. This is the perfect upgrade, offering 60% faster performance and twice the power efficiency of previous-generation cards*. Plus, it features VXGI for realistic lighting, support for smooth, tear-free NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, and Dynamic Super
I have the Asus Strix GTX 960 runs ED like a dream at 60FPS. Yes you will get everyone banging on about getting 970 or 980 but if you are running a Mini ITX this is a great option. And it runs super quite and very low voltage and heat. The r9 280 or 280x is roughly the same cost and it will trounce the 960.

Hey guys. I have a PC with an i7 2600k and an nvidia GeForce GTX 960 4GB edition. I play games at 2560p currently and sometimes at 1080p. I was getting stutter issues in Horizon ZD with 1440p selected and high textures, it made about 24~FPS which is a tad underwhelming.

Even at 125MHz, the GPU was unstable. This gave us a GPU Boost clock rate of 1437MHz, which in-game registers as 1461MHz. After finding the maximum GPU overclock, the memory was adjusted. Using The GTX 960 should probably have been launched with 3 GB VRAM standard, hence I can recommend these 4 GB versions very much. But yeah, the end-results remain a bit trivial with the price-premium

There are a few things you can do, like try a different preset. shadowplay probably uses the most efficient preset, which isn't always the best quality for streaming. try different NVENC presets until you find one that works for you. You can also try disabling the OBS preview window. right click on the preview windows, press preview, uncheck

Originally, the GTX 960 came with a 2GB GDDR5 memory, a 128-bit bus interface, and 112.2GBps bandwidth, amounting to a maximum effective memory speed of 1753MHz (7GBps). Unfortunately, though, they’ve been almost entirely phased out due to their inability to cope with modern gaming and the fact that their AMD competition in the market was
Sharing a space with the Palit GTX 960 Super JetStream could be such a good experience if it wasn’t for the coils. The fans spin very slowly during gaming and produce a noise at around 120 Hz
