Stamped on the block low down on the exhaust site at the rear is NBO 4481. Its badly stamped and uneven. I also have in the cast above the water pump on the Exhaust side.

Hi Guys I bought a 2001 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec.its had a engine change which was a 1.6 zetec s from a fiesta now the problem I am getting is engine management light is on IAT sensor and maf sensor are the problem from diagnostic machine which causes lack of power especially on hills, greedy on fuel etc. who ever changed the engine I think has left original focus wiring loom in and the fiesta The prices are far different to the quote from the garage next door! The GATES Timing Kit AND water pump is £68 total. Focus AUTO 2004, I think my engine is the Zetec-SE 1.6 16v version with A/C. There is nothing printed on the cam cover. Tried the Ford Main Dealer, but as usual would not reveal part numbers. Ok been reading a lot of different answers on this subject regarding the correct spark plug gap for the mk2.5 1.6 zetec engine. Some are saying 1.0,1.1,.1.2 and 1.3 ???? confusing I know but just for myself and others with this engine can anyone with etis or other access confirm the correct gap as this would be big help? Sounds totally normal to me, my 1.6 unit sounds exactly like that when it's cold. Should be barely audible once it's warm. It's a lot quieter when warm and idling but there is still a tapping noise at around 1000-2000rpm even when the engine is fully warmed up. It sounds like shaking a ball bearing in a can but a steady noise.
